Group of Friends of the Quito Process
The Group of Friends of the Quito Process was established at the Buenos Aires Chapter, Argentina, in July 2019, as an initiative of the international community to accompany and strengthen this regional mechanism.
Its objective is to highlight the situation of people on the move in Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as to provide technical and financial support to the thematic areas promoted by the forum. Since then, the Group of Friends has consolidated itself as a strategic ally of the Quito Process, providing resources, expertise, and political backing to strengthen regional cooperation, protection, and integration of refugees and migrants.

The Terms of Reference of the Group were approved at the V Bogotá Chapter, and its operations began at the VI Santiago I Round.
