The human trafficking thematic area addresses prevention, protection, and prosecution of this crime, strengthening state and regional capacities.
It promotes regulatory frameworks and care protocols that ensure early identification of victims, their comprehensive protection, and access to justice.
It also drives international cooperation to combat criminal networks and guarantee reparations for victims, consolidating a human rights-centered approach. Inter-institutional coordination, training of officials, and awareness-raising campaigns are fundamental to preventing exploitation and strengthening the protection of refugees and migrants.
